We don't have Spotify, YouTube or Instagram yet. Can we still start?
Yes. To be straightforward with you: this isn't like any software you've used before, so getting started takes some legwork on both ends. On our end, we connect everything and tune the sound to your room. On yours, because everything stays in your church's name, someone at your church signs up for any accounts you don't have yet (a YouTube channel, Spotify, Instagram and so on), with your church's email, and then connects them to us. But you won't be doing it alone. Your members area lays out each step in plain words, help is a click away whenever you want it (we'll call you, or you can pick a time to talk), and we're with you every step of the way until everything is connected. Once it's all locked in, the software takes it from there: week after week, you hold your service and record it, and it handles everything else.
Do we have to livestream?
No. If you livestream on Facebook, the software pulls the recording from there. If you don't, drop the video in a shared folder after the service. If you record on a phone, we can set that up with you too.
What do you need from us each week?
For your first two weeks, every sermon and every clip comes to you first, and nothing is posted until you approve it. After that, just the recording: if you livestream on Facebook, the software takes it from there, and if you don't, you drop the video in your shared folder. If a recording doesn't come in, the software tells David, and he'll let you know.
Who owns the accounts?
You do. Everything is published on your church's own accounts. We connect with your permission, never with your password.
Is this a scheduling app, like the ones we've tried?
No. A scheduling app still leaves the work to you: someone at church edits the video, writes each post and lines it up. Sermon Pipeline is different: it's our own software, which David created, and it does that whole job itself, from your recording to every post, all week.
Will the titles and captions use our words?
Yes. We ask before the software writes anything. You tell us what you call your gathering, your message and your leader, how you name the books of the Bible, and which hashtags fit. Every title and caption it writes follows your answers.
What about worship music?
If your recording includes worship music, your church's CCLI streaming license covers it, and any copyright claim on YouTube is the church's to answer.
